The platform over the lake of Neuchatel for the Swiss Expo.02. It was about the size of two football fields. The large gas-filled plastic roof structures were designed to be reminiscent of "skipping stones" normally found on the beach. Surrounding the platform were several hundred artificial plastic "reeds", anchored to the lake bed, which swayed under the influence of the waves. On-board solar cells charged batteries that enabled the tips of the reeds to flash periodically during the night. Ada was in the wooden building under the roof structure on the left.   (6/15)
