Teaching aids

We have assembled a comprehensive packet of teaching aids. The folder contains:
  • Factual information/worksheets
  • Transparencies
  • Poster/exhibition guide

Factual information/worksheets

The factual information furnishes an introduction to the topic and contains recommendations for instruction, bibliographic information and links. The worksheets can be photocopied and utilised in instruction.

The factual information is divided into four themes:
  • Short overview
  • Ada knowledge
  • Ada experience
  • Ada reflection

The chapter «Short overview» provides an orientation to the topic.

Ada: Short overview

The chapter «Ada knowledge» deals with the human brain and its simulation in the Ada project. First, the fundamental principles are discussed. Then in-depth information is provided regarding the input, that is, the reception of stimuli by the sensory organs. The third subchapter addresses the processing of this input (information processing) and the fourth looks at the output, the "response” to environmental stimuli in the form of communication and play behaviour.

Ada knowledge : The human brain
Ada knowledge: Sensory organs
Ada knowledge: Processing data
Ada knowledge: Interaction

«Ada experience» offers suggestions for ways to approach the subject matter through game playing.

Ada experience

«Ada reflection» takes a critical look at the development of artificial intelligence and its impact on society.

Ada reflection

Poster/exhibition guide

The poster gives an overview of the exhibition and compares and contrasts Ada’s capabilities with that of a human brain. The documentation comes with two posters. It is possible to order further copies, such as for group projects.

Ordering

You can download certain portions of the materials from this site as individual files, or order the full documentation (only available in German) including transparencies and two posters (while supplies last).
